Mother's Day

Hi, I'm Tilda Tuppence and I've just this second started blogging. I'm hoping to share ,with anyone bothering to read this, my thoughts and tips on anything and everything that comes into my mind. And may I warn you, my mind can get pretty crowded sometimes! I will also try to share tips on saving money while still having a good time.

It's mothering sunday and my mother died last year. I could go put flowers at the memorial gardens where her ashes lay but I really can't feel that she is there. I will just have to think about her and, just in case she can hear me, say aloud that I love her. I just did that and the cat is looking at me strangely! I'm glad I told her I loved her when she was alive.

I had a text from daughter this morning wishing me a happy mothers day. Also had a visit from youngest son who told me off for wearing jeans and t shirt on mothers day. He said if I went out wearing them today of all days people would think no one loved me! He then proceeded to raid my wardrobe and chose me a lovely little grey jacket that I forgot I had, and remarked that he had never seen me wear certain dresses in my wardrobe. Not suprising as some of them still had the tags dangling. Note to self: sort out wardrobe and start wearing the contents. I will get the chance to dress up a bit as Eldest son and his wife are taking me for a meal tomorrow night (he is away for the weekend) but a text today would have been nice! Daughter took me to M&S for cake and coffee. (see tip 3 below) It was good to sit and chat quietly. Sunday is a real good day at M&S! She also bought me new slippers and my favourite shower gel from Body Shop. So at least I will smell nice in my jeans and t shirt!

So,

Tip #1 for today - don't talk aloud in the same room as cat! Unless, of course, you are speaking to the cat, in which case it is acceptabe.

Tip #2 if you still have a mum tell her you love her while you are sure she can hear you. This probably goes without saying!

Tip # 3 M&S are doing coffee and cake for only £2 after 2pm daily.

This is my first experience as a 'blogger' and it felt good to have a ramble. I will carry on daily as I am sure it will help me get my head round things that needs my head to be round. Who knows? Maybe someone else may like to read it too.

Bye for now Tilda x
